ABOUT PRANSHU SHARMA
I am a M.Sc. graduate in Metallurgical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University with three years of experience as an Inspection and Corrosion Engineer at a petrochemical unit of Reliance Industries Limited. I have keen interest in corrosion and wear behavior of materials and different methods, in particular surface engineering, to improve their resistance against these failure modes. During the RWTH Aachen, at Institut für Oberflächentechnik (Surface Engineering Institute), I have completed three research projects that aimed to characterize the architecture, mechanical and tribological behavior of wear resistant PVD coatings. While at Reliance Industries Limited, I was responsible to assess the fitness for in-service static equipment via different NDT and repair of failed equipment. I was also an active member of team conducting root cause failure analysis.
