As a Hardware Design Intern at Inficon, I migrated a legacy FPGA design from Cyclone I to Cyclone IV (EP4CE10F17C8), resolving synthesis and compatibility issues in Quartus Prime. During the migration, I made targeted RTL modifications to align with Cyclone IV architecture requirements and improve logic efficiency. I also redesigned the processor schematic using Cadence OrCAD, replaced outdated IP blocks, and updated pin assignments to match the new device. By optimizing both the RTL and overall resource utilization, I eliminated Logic Array Block (LAB) overuse errors and ensured smooth integration with modern toolchains.
