About Pranav Singhal
I’m Pranav, an engineer with a keen interest in building innovative solutions. Growing up in a family involved in engineering businesses (http://kanohar.com/), I developed an early appreciation for how products are designed, manufactured, and brought to market, which inspired me to pursue engineering at IIT Madras. At IIT Madras, I’ve had the privilege to lead impactful projects. Currently, I’m heading a team of 30+ students organizing the Global Hyperloop Competition, an international event encouraging innovation in hyperloop technologies. Previously, I led Team Avishkar Hyperloop, contributing to the development of the 6th and 7th generation hyperloop pods for the European Hyperloop Week. My work included power electronics, HV systems, and propulsion using linear motors. I also managed project operations, sponsorships, and outreach, collaborating with Prof. Satya Chakravarthy from Aerospace Deptt. at IIT Madras. Looking ahead, I aspire to - 1) identify pressing market needs, 2) design products that meet customer requirements, & 3) bring them to life at scale with top-notch quality a.k.a Building FAQ products (Function, Aesthetics, Quality) My goal is to build businesses that make a lasting impact in the defence, energy, and mobility sectors.
