About Pranav Chugh

I am a recent graduate of Northeastern University with a Master’s in Sports Leadership and a strong focus on professional baseball operations. In 2026, I will be joining the Detroit Tigers Baseball Operations department as a Player Development Assistant, where I will be working intimately with players, coaches, and staff to help them develop skills both on and off the field and contribute meaningfully to the organization.During the 2025 season, I worked with Major League Baseball’s Data Operations department, where I compiled play-by-play data using Hawk-Eye tracking technology at Red Sox games and officially scored Cape Cod Baseball League matchups. I also served as a Fenway Park Tour Guide and a Partnerships and Media Assistant for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks.My passion lies in scouting and player development, and I have taken every opportunity to grow in this space, from attending the SABR Analytics Conference on an MLB sponsorship to building independent scouting reports and participating in MLB’s Advancing Bases Program. I am a proud member of the Chi Sigma Mu Honor Society, which recognized my academic excellence and leadership in sport management. I was also chosen for MLB\'s Scout Development Program, which is designed to teach the future generation of baseball operations professionals how to succeed in the industry.With experience in data analysis, communication, and leadership across professional, collegiate, and nonprofit roles, I’m eager to keep learning, collaborating, and contributing to the future of Major League Baseball.Let’s connect, especially if you love ballparks, baseball strategy, and fun conversations!
