Working within Swiss Re\'s esteemed Cat Perils team, I play a pivotal role in crafting Nat Cat models that underpin Swiss Re\'s risk landscape. My responsibilities encompass the development of a comprehensive four-box principled cat model, involving the creation of hazard and vulnerability components, as well as meticulous calibration to established risk viewpoints.In this dynamic position, my expertise extends beyond a single Nat Cat peril, such as earthquakes, to encompass other perils like tropical cyclones (TC) and floods. I primarily focus on model development for key APAC countries, including Japan, Australia, and China.As our risk view and models seamlessly integrate with treaty and single risk underwriting, I actively engage in impact testing on portfolios and facilitate knowledge exchange within the underwriting (UW) community. This collaborative effort involves a deep understanding of UW inputs and providing valuable support for change management.In addition to my current role, I have had the privilege of contributing to the RMS IED development team and the catastrophe modeling team at WTW. These experiences have allowed me to leverage my academic background to develop innovative catastrophe models and further enrich my expertise in the field.
