ABOUT PRAKSHAL PAREKH
Driven by curiosity and a passion for translational science, I’m currently a Research Associate on the Process Development team at ProKidney, where I contribute to advancing cell therapy manufacturing for chronic kidney disease. My work focuses on supporting process development efforts that help bridge early research with scalable, real-world manufacturing, an area I’m excited to grow in as I build hands-on experience in cell therapy and bioprocessing.Previously, I completed my MBIOT at Texas A&M University and gained industry experience at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where I worked on non-viral delivery strategies for gene editing therapeutics targeting Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. There, I contributed to assay development, tissue-targeting studies, immunofluorescence, and EM collaborations, strengthening my foundation in translational research and cross-functional teamwork. Before that, as a Graduate Student Assistant at Texas A&M Health Science Center, I supported autoimmune disease research through iPSC-based studies, extracellular vesicle analysis, molecular biology workflows (RNA extraction, cDNA prep, qPCR), and biomarker evaluation using ELISA and Multiplex/Luminex assays. These experiences shaped my interest in understanding diseased microenvironments and developing practical solutions for therapeutic delivery. At my core, I’m someone who enjoys learning, solving problems, and working alongside passionate teams to turn science into impact. Always happy to connect with others in biotech, cell therapy, and process development. p••••••••@gmail.com
