ABOUT PRAKHAR BISHT
Molecular biology is the study of molecular underpinnings of the process of replication, transcription and translation of the genetic material. From a young age, biological sciences captivated my imagination. There are diseases which require early diagnosis and intervention by the use of biotechnological tools. For these reasons, I devoted my studies towards specializing in the field of Molecular Biology & Genetics. With 10+ years of research experience, I have hands on expertise on in vitro cytotoxicity assays, genome wide association studies to score for aberrant SNPs with human cell lines/samples and have exploited budding yeast model to understand the intricate architecture of the genome integrity maintenance pathways and replication-transcription interferences. I believe scientific research has its origins in a very fundamental human character ‘curiosity’. It is very important to ask the right question. My fields of work raise many such questions and presently at ‘Genomic Vision’ I am one of the people working towards these answers. Interests: Drug discovery, diagnostic tool development, nucleic acid de novo synthesis, Nanomedicine development
