Most data and technology leaders do not struggle because they lack ideas. They struggle because too much lands at once. Priorities keep shifting, decisions need to be made, and important work often put off because no one is clearly taking it forward.That is where I work.I partner with data and technology leaders during high-stakes transitions and periods of overload, taking on critical work that would otherwise stay with them.I do not come in with a deck or a predefined scope. I work alongside leaders as a partner and help get things moving.Often, that means bringing order to something that feels scattered, getting teams aligned where things are not coming together, and taking a few critical priorities off their plate so they can focus on what only they must do.A lot of this work sits in the grey areas.It does not fit neatly into a project or a standard workstream. It is work that needs context, experience, judgment, and follow-through with the right know-how to ask relevant questions, connect the dots, reach into and across the organization to create momentum.These are often priorities that are too important to delegate casually, but too heavy to keep holding personally.I also work with leaders early in a new role.The first few weeks and months matter more than most expect. You are still figuring out what you have inherited while decisions cannot wait.Direction gets set before the full picture is clear, and others start aligning around those early calls.Having someone work alongside you during that phase, without adding another reporting line, makes a difference.I typically work in focused 4–6 week engagements.Long enough to take on real ownership.
