Borehole Geophysics Lead at SLB (Schlumberger) with ~15 years of experience in exploration and production geophysics, specializing in microseismic monitoring, borehole and surface seismic, induced seismicity, and advanced geophysical methods. My work focuses on delivering reliable, high-impact subsurface insights by combining robust geophysical techniques with scalable, field-ready workflows. In this role, I lead geophysical programs across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, driving end-to-end execution—from acquisition design and real-time monitoring to processing, interpretation, and delivery. I bring extensive experience managing large-scale, multi-well and multi-stage operations, supporting real-time decision-making and enhancing reservoir understanding. A key focus of my work is technology scaling and workflow optimization. I have contributed to expanding advanced borehole geophysics solutions and introduced automation and digital workflows that significantly improve efficiency and turnaround time for complex processing and deliverables. My technical expertise spans microseismic (HFM), Moment Tensor Inversion (MTI), DAS/hDVS fiber-optic sensing, 3D VSP and walkaway surveys, and seismic processing and imaging. I also work on integrated, multi-physics approaches, combining diverse datasets to enhance reservoir characterization and reduce subsurface uncertainty. Beyond project delivery, I contribute as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentor, supporting global teams, driving knowledge sharing, and strengthening geophysical workflows. I am particularly interested in advancing next-generation inversion techniques, DAS-based monitoring, and scalable digital solutions for subsurface applications. I hold a Master’s in Applied Geophysics from IIT Bombay and a Bachelor’s in Physics from the University of Delhi, graduating with top academic distinction at both levels. Alongside my industry role, I am pursuing a PhD in Microseismic Full-Waveform Inversion at IIT Bombay, focused on advancing waveform-based approaches for improved seismic monitoring and source characterization.
