I joined the Board of Trustees of Claremont Graduate University in 2022.Claremont Graduate University (CGU) is an independent institution devoted entirely to graduate study. At CGU, students are encouraged to pursue academic research agendas both within and across traditional curricular boundaries. The Drucker School of Management is the business school of Claremont Graduate University, which is also a member of The Claremont Colleges, a consortium of seven independent institutions.

ABOUT PRAKASH MEHTA
I structure, negotiate and close complex investment partnerships.I’ve dedicated 20+ years at Akin to building our funds practice and international presence. I led the growth of our funds group — now a defining part of our firm and the private capital industry — from fewer than 10 to more than 100 lawyers worldwide. I spearheaded the creation of Akin’s pioneering sovereign wealth practice and our firm’s expansion into several new markets, establishing offices in Fort Worth, Dubai, Beijing, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Hong Kong, and in 2025, Riyadh and Chicago. Frequent visits to these financial centers is integral to my role. Having developed relationships with sovereign investors dating 20 years back, I work closely with the fastest growing subset of capital allocators — sovereign wealth funds from the Middle East and Asia. My connection with the sovereign investor world has translated into advising governments seeking to reform and build their nations.Akin’s recently launched capital solutions initiative capitalizes on an important subset of my experience since 2008 — the creation of highly-customized hybrid and evergreen funds. These more permanent capital structures, such as BDCs, go hand-in-hand with the meteoric rise of private credit, infrastructure and fixed income alternatives, a trend Akin has shaped.I’ve served in leadership roles at the firm over the last 20 years, including 12+ years on the firmwide management committee, 8+ years on the partner compensation committee and 18 years as the investment funds group practice leader. My tenure within Akin’s leadership enables me to demonstrate to founders, nation builders, CIOs and principals that I understand and identify with their challenges, making me a trusted advisor in funds matters and beyond.Outside of Akin, I serve on the Board of Directors of the US India Business Council (USIBC, a part of the US Chamber of Commerce) and the Board of Trustees of Claremont Graduate University (CGU). Together with the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute and CGU, I am now leading the creation of the Sovereign Investor Leadership Conference (SILC), an arm of CGU’s Peter Drucker School of Management.
