About Prajwal V Holla
I\'m a student at Texas A&M University pursuing master\'s in electrical engineering. Some of my main courses in Texas A&M have been VLSI Circuit Design, Broadband Circuit Design, Switching Power Supplies and Digital Integrated Circuit Design. I was a 2023 summer intern at Texas Instruments as an analog design intern and was an EMIR specialist at Ansys Semiconductors for 2.5 years. For my summer internship at Texas Instruments I worked on the concepts of Bandgap References, and using the concepts of bandgap references I designed an OTSD (Operational Thermal Shutdown) circuit that was capable of shutting down when temperatures reached an excess of 155C. These are some of the projects I worked on while I was at Ansys:1. Verified and deployed Reduced Order Models (ROM), where IP blocks which were already taped out in the SoC would be reduced to simple RLC circuits allowing us to simulate the specific parts of SoC designed by the customer. This feature reduced the simulation time and resources by nearly 50%.2. Played an integral part in developing 3DIC SoC simulations, where through multiple iterations of simulations on real life 3DIC design was able to get realistic voltage drops which had 5% margin for error. Also developed scripts in python for getting 3DIC certifications from TSMC.3. Verified and deployed the Chip Power Model distributed generation, where multiple machines work in parallel to generate a lighter RLC circuit equivalent of SoC to mimic voltage drop and current consumption. Used spice simulation and RedHawk-SC for voltage drop sanity and achieved a 10% margin for error while saving up to 70% in simulation time.4.Verified and deployed Low Drop Out cells which are commonly used in SoCs to prevent voltage drop in bump voltages for startup current rush. By utilizing the I-V curve from the library files and generating a spice netlist we were able to successfully match simulation with a 4% margin for error.
