   Founded an audio equipment company providing custom, hand-made speaker and sound system solutions and services for home and hospitality, as well as classes where customers build their own audio gear - speakers, amplifiers, etc.*Gowanus Audio custom bar sound systems create an immersive, even sound experience where customers can both understand the lyrics *and* still have a conversation - with speakers that are visually striking.*With our EQ services, we calibrate existing sound systems that just don\'t sound \"right\" so they can realize their full potential.*Our classes combine learning practical, hands-on electrical and woodworking skills with an understanding of the engineering and electronics behind the equipment. The audio components sound good by any measure, but are easy enough for a beginner to assemble (profitably) in a lively class setting.*Classes provide strong operating cash flow with minimal inventory, overhead; travel well, can be held off-site. Custom speakers allow for high-performance, novel designs that are not otherwise available commercially.*We support the local DIY audio community with regular meetups; plans for a 501c3 program for schoolsGet closer to the music.
