Dr. M. Prahadeeswaran is presently working as Associate Professor (Agricultural Economics) at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. Apart from his teaching and research; he coordinates the NADP projects and assists the Nodal Officer (TNAU-NADP) in monitoring and implementation of NADP projects in TNAU.He is coordinator for the Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics lab (Established under ICAR-NAHEP-IDP programme) and trains the UG students in AI & BDA along with the computer scientists.He was trained in IFPRI, NPO, IARI, MANAGE, NAARM, ICRISAT and IWMI on different dimensions of research in the domain of agricultural economics.He served as NSS Programme Coordinator for TNAU from July 2022 to July 2025. Earlier he was Assistant Professor (Agricultural Economics) at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai; Horticultural College and Research Institute, Periyakulam of TNAU. He was Post Doctoral Fellow in Centre for Management in Agriculture, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad during 2009. His area of specialization is Agricultural Market and International Trade. He received the gold medal and best thesis research award in the discipline of Agricultural Economics for his doctoral research during 2007-08. He participated and presented research papers in various international conferences by obtaining prestigious grants viz, Rockefeller, USA Grant for participation and paper presentation in InterDrought II, 2005 at Rome, Italy and GRIPS-IAAE Grant for participation and paper presentation in IAAE, 2006 at Gold Coast, Australia.
