I am a Managing Director in KPMG’s Valuation Services (EVS) practice. I have over 16 years of valuation experience with KPMG where I specialize in valuations in the financial services industry including banking, insurance, asset management, and financial technology. My primary responsibility is assisting with client needs and the direction of various valuation projects including the valuation of business enterprises, intangible assets, and financial instruments for tax and financial reporting purposes. I work with several other practices within KPMG including audit, advisory, and tax.My expertise includes valuing businesses and assets in the the following sectors and for the following purposes- Valuations of financial instruments and intangible assets for clients in the banking, insurance, and financial technology industries for ASC 350 annual impairment testing, ASC 805 purchase price allocations, and other financial reporting and tax purposes- Determination of incremental borrowing rates (IBR) for ASC 842 lease accounting- Valuations in the banking industry include loan portfolios, fixed maturity deposits, core deposit intangibles, and loss share agreements with the FDIC- Valuations in the insurance industry include customer relationships, customer renewals, distribution channels, contracts, trade names, technology, and state insurance licenses.
