ABOUT PRAGYA BHARATI

Pragya Bharati is an Indo-Australian architect and artist who embraces the philosophy of “Traditional Modernism.” Growing up in Kolkata, a city rich in art and culture, she developed an early connection to creativity, leading her to pursue Architecture. Pragya completed her Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Sydney (USYD), NSW, Australia. As the Principal Architect at Upscale Architects, she specializes in the art of storytelling through her designs, creating spaces that not only fulfill functional needs but also evoke emotions and engage the senses.​Her passion for architecture has taken her across the globe, immersing herself in diverse cultures, art, design, and architectural marvels. Pragya is a firm believer in the concept of \"Architecture as another form of Art,\" where every space is an expression of creativity. She co-founded Upscale Architects, a firm focused on designing spaces that blend nature, culture, and contemporary luxury in perfect harmony.​In 2023, she also founded ARTÉCTURE, a conscious and creative art society dedicated to exploring the fine intersection of art and architecture. Pragya believes art has the power to transcend borders, connect cultures, and inspire change, and this is just the beginning of her vision to bring this idea to life.​Alongside her architectural practice, Pragya serves as a Design Juror and guest lecturer at esteemed institutions like USYD and UNSW, contributing to the academic landscape and nurturing the next generation of architects. As both an architect and an artist, she continuously seeks new ways to merge art and design, ensuring every project reflects her unique vision and creative expression.
