ABOUT PRADEEP NATHAN
I am a neuroscientist with research interests in the molecular and neural substrates of psychiatric and neurological disease phenotypes. I use functional and molecular neuroimaging techniques (i.e. fMRI, Electrophysiology, PET) to understand where and how therapeutic agents modulate physiological and behavioural processes and associated neural networks. I am also interested in the application of these approaches to CNS drug discovery through development of functional and molecular biomarkers which might aid in the development of more refined and targeted treatment approaches for brain disorders. I hold a Leadership role in Experimental Medicine and Biomarkers at Neurocrine Biosciences focused on the early clinical development of novel treatments for Psychiatric and Neurological disorders. I also hold Professorships in Neuroscience, Neuroimaging and Therapeutics at Kings College London and Monash University and an Affiliated Associate Professorship at the University of Cambridge.Specialties: Drug Discovery and DevelopmentExperimental MedicineNeuroscienceBrain ImagingBehavioural NeuroscienceNeuropharmacologyClinical trials in neurology and psychiatryPublications:
