I then transitioned into the data center domain with the NIC Cloud Data Center project, gaining valuable experience in managing mission-critical systems and IT infrastructure.    I’m Currently working As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Building Management System) Team Leader at the Assam State Data Center, I am responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and monitoring of critical facility systems. I also provide Level 1 (L1) support for network infrastructure, playing a key role in uptime, troubleshooting, and communication across technical teams.Key Responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate the BMS operations team to monitor and manage HVAC, UPS, fire alarms, and other critical systems. • Perform daily health checks of BMS infrastructure and escalate issues when needed. • Analyze and optimize system performance to ensure energy efficiency and operational reliability. • Provide L1 support for network-related issues including connectivity, configuration, and basic troubleshooting. • Monitor and report on network performance, escalating issues to L2/L3 as required. • Collaborate with facility management, IT teams, and vendors for maintenance and improvement projects. • Maintain proper documentation, incident logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Ensure compliance with SLA and data center operational standards.
