ABOUT PRABHURAMAN SAYANAM

Prabhuraman leads the Telecom and Storage OEM vertical which is one of the largest vertical for Engineering and R&D Services. He set up probably the largest Offshore Development Center in HCL for a leading Telecom OEM. He also set up a horizontal organization to innovate and drive Product Testing competency across verticals with Telecom being the largest of them. Prabhuraman also represents HCL at India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), the industry body that is committed to creating global awareness for the Indian Electronics System Design and Manufacturing industry and supporting its growth through focused initiatives in developing the ecosystem. He is a firm believer of predictable quality and adopts CMMi, ISO and standards. He has worked with clients across USA, Europe, Australia and Japan.As part of the delivery head for one of the largest partnership HCL has with a leading Telecom OEM, his responsibilities include managing the delivery of all programs to meet the schedule, quality and budget, managing the operations that include people, infrastructure and support processes, and owning the P&L for the unit. The programs span over the entire spectrum of technologies like Routing, Switching, Security, Datacenter, Collaboration, Network Management, Video, Wireless and Services. Most of the programs span across the entire product life cycle including Product management, Engineeing and Support. He has pioneered different business models including Risk and Reward model that enables higher accountability for the teams.Prabhuraman is a leader who appreciates Talent and Innovation. He has actively contributed to defining a role based delivery excellence system. He has created an Innovation culture in the unit which has resulted in more than 300+ patent ideas for the clients.
