ABOUT PRABHAKAR NORI

Prabhakar Nori is a multifaceted professional with nearly 38 years of experience transcending across Marketing, Sales, Distribution, Operations and Strategy in the multi-billion dollar Oil & Gas industry of South Asia. Having worked in various leadership positions covering several geographies of the country, he has developed solid expertise to align corporate strategy and focus, with consumer behavior, distributor expectations, and the entire supply chain. Certain milestone initiatives of his employer Bharat Petroleum are credited to him; Namely Pure for Sure branding - launching the whole concept of branded fuel, Petro Card – India’s first prepaid cards, Smart fleet – a revolutionary cashless transaction for tanker and truck fleet owners, Commissioning of nearly 150 petrol pumps in Pune & nearby territory, Washrooms at the petrol pumps for the convenience of customers and drivers. He handled 17 different roles within the company including a stint with Multi National Shell. Starting as a operation officer, he went on to become Territory Manager, Business Plan & Strategy Sr. Manager, Retail Brand Management Chief Manager, Lubricants Regional and then National Sales Manager, All India head of Allied Retail Business & Lubricants, and finally Chief General Manager Brand & PR. His illustrious career won him many accolades on the way. He has superannuated in March 2020. In addition to such a track record, he is actively involved in the academic world with an objective to make students more corporate role ready. He is on the board of studies of prestigious Symbiosis Institute Of Business Management, Pune. Besides, he is a certified NLP and leadership coach offers consultancy to organizations in leadership and evolving marketing strategies. Regarded as a Leader and visionary, Prabhakar Nori often gets invited by various industry forums for his views and opinions. He has mentored and coached several of his colleagues and channel partners presenting a very sharp perspective on the ability to integrate experience with evolving trends across various business domains. With a masters in Physics from Osmania University, he completed Post Graduate in Executive Management Program from SP Jain Institute. He also pursued various executive programs from reputed institutes like IIM Bangalore, IIM Kolkata, ISB Hyderabad, and Cornell University. Post his superannuation from BPCL, he has been active in academic field and for the last 3 years he is working as visiting professor of marketing in Symbiosis Institute Of Business Management, Pune.
