Prabha Sankaranarayan is the President and CEO of Mediators Beyond Borders International an impact organization whose mission is to build local skills for peace and promote mediation worldwide. Prabha has led the growth of the organisation, building strategic partnerships with global organisations like Rotary International, national ones like NAFCM, while developing MBBI’s areas of Functional expertise in: Ø Mobilizing Experts/Advisory Support Ø Technical Expertise- Mediation, Negotiation, Dialogue Ø Program Implementation and Capacity Building Ø Transition, Governance & Security Dimensions of Peace Processes Prabha is a conflict transformation practitioner who has mediated, facilitated and trained in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Her public and private sector work includes conflict analysis for public/private partnerships, consultation & assessment for industrial development zones, design and implementation of programs and processes for multinational corporations, governments, banks and community organizations; inter faith dialogues as well as facilitation of multi-stakeholder mediations. A substantive expert in Trauma Informed Peacebuilding, Public Participation and Conflict transformation, she provides systems design, strategic planning, program management, community outreach and training around the world. She serves on the ASEAN Regional Forum’s (ARF) Expert and Eminent Persons (EEP) Group for the US Government, Department of Multilateral Affairs. Prabha is involved in regional, national and international civic activities focused on civil liberties, violence prevention, conflict mitigation & mediation and the recovery & rehabilitation of trauma survivors. She trains and delivers presentations (nationally and internationally) on the impact of family and community violence, the intersection of trauma and peacebuilding, restorative justice, conflict resolution, mediation and transitional justice.
