About Poushali Samadder

My strong affection for mathematics and problem-solving nature guided me to do engineering and I completed my Btech degree from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur in Electrical engineering. I was first introduced to data analytics\'s importance when I visited a power plant as part of my industrial training. From reducing energy expenditures to predicting the likelihood of power outages – data was being used everywhere. Due to my sheer interest in this field, I completed my final year project to minimize the cost of generation in power systems. I even got a chance to do my summer internship at Steel Authority of India Ltd where I worked as a data analyst intern. Owing to the vast implementation of data analytics, I perceived this field of study as an optimal opportunity to use my logical and analytical skills to provide better business solutions. So currently I am pursuing my Masters\'s degree in Business Analytics from the University of Texas at Dallas.I have more than 2 years of work experience working as a system analyst in one of the biggest IT firms in India. It has given me the scope to apply my knowledge in programming and Data analytics. I was entrusted with handling large datasets to provide significant insights for business sales. Based on my coding proficiency, I could promptly provide efficient solutions. TCS has given me the opportunity to enhance my soft skills by working on an agile project.
