Personal Background |I love to shop whether it is shopping for clothes once in a while or buying my groceries daily. Back in High school, I used to shop at my neighborhood supermarket, and I used to love this candy. However, it was extremely popular, and it would generally get sold out by the afternoon. One day I was extremely disappointed to miss out on buying it and was dreading the fact that it would not be in stock the next day. To my surprise, it was available and in more quantity!As time progressed, I observed that the candy did not sell out by noon and was being sold out by the evening, I then researched this phenomenon and understood that this works on the “Supply and Demand” method and how procurement, strategy, operations logistics and research help a store maintain its inventory and keep its customers happy!This experience fascinated me in the field of Supply Chain. Professional Background |I got my first break into this field back in 2016 at GE Appliances as Graduate Engineer Trainee. I worked in the distribution and services team as a trainee.After a year I moved to the Fulfillment Supply Chain IT team as an Associate Systems Analyst and helped in delivering Schedule Ship, Parts Data Quality, Master Deployment, Warehouse Capacity & Order Shipment & Summary.With the experience I gained over the 2 years, I was promoted to a Data Analyst in the Business Intelligence team where I had partnered with the Supply Chain DT and business teams from the idea inception to implementation. I also partnered with the managed services team to ensure we met SLA in resolving incidents and timely data refreshes for Supply Chain reporting.
