As part of the Utilities Management Branch, I support the planning and coordination of utility work across Vancouver streets. My role involves:Reviewing and processing utility plans to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with City standards.Using AutoCAD and GIS systems to check drawings, extract data, and update records.Coordinating with utility companies, developers, contractors, and City departments to schedule and manage construction activities.Conducting field checks of drawings and projects, reporting findings, and supporting traffic and construction coordination.Assisting in developing and maintaining policies and procedures to improve construction standards and branch processes.Preparing correspondence, maintaining records in SAP, POSSE, and VanDocs, and providing technical and customer service support to staff and the public.This position allows me to contribute to Vancouver’s infrastructure development while working on complex projects that improve the city’s utilities and public spaces.
