About Kelsea Potthast

I am passionate about developing synergy between the engineering principles of packaging and the innovative marketing strategies of business. Although this is an unusual combination of interests, the successful application of creative thinking can result in a product or service gaining the attention and recognition it deserves. My goal is to use this passion to transform a good product or service into one that will flourish globally. I am pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in marketing and a minor in packaging science from the University of Florida. My broad range of experiences have taught me the value of approaching dilemmas from multiple perspectives. I feel it is important to surround myself with diverse perspectives because they challenge me to think creatively, especially when designing solutions that are more likely to exceed expectations. As an Executive Marketing Chair for Chi Omega\'s Philanthropic events, I have successfully expanded our reach beyond the active participation of 250+ members and their close friends. This growth can be seen in the monetary donations we raise for the Make-A-Wish foundation, which have already surpassed those of previous years. Additionally, I have gained leadership experience as a Gator Pals Session Leader, working to coordinate with volunteers and ensure that our sessions are effective and impactful to the children with whom we work. As the Packaging Club President, I am working to improve accessibility and diversity within the club. In these positions, I aim to bring new ideas to make each of these impressive organizations more efficient and notable on campus.
