I left the classroom in January 2015 to pursue my Mental Health career full-time. I truly enjoy what I do daily! I was the Human Resources Coordinator and independent contractor for the New Orleans Center for Hope & Change located in Marksville, Opelousas & New Orleans, La. I graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in Business. I transferred here after completing two years at Dillard University. Immediately after graduating, I went into education full-time. I taught 1st grade while I was working on my initial teacher certification. I completed my teacher certification at Louisiana College where I also graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching. Once I finished my Master\'s degree I started pursing a certification in Special Education. During this process, I was hired as a K-3 Inclusion teacher at Plaucheville Elementary. I used my technological background to implement innovative technology into my classroom. Just recently I completed the coursework to add on Computer Literacy, Child Search Coordinator and Educational Technology Facilitation to my teaching certificate. I then started my leadership career as an SDI Coach in Fulton County, after being in early intervention in DeKalb County for one year.
