I\'ve worked as a journalist for a decade & I\'ve reached the stage where I know I\'m equipped to lead a team. Over the course of the last 10 years I\'ve covered a wide variety of beats, including film & television, fashion, health & lifestyle, books, art and culture. I\'m now keen to grow not only as a writer, but also as an editor & help shape ideas into well-rounded stories. I\'m also keen to explore new ways of creating online content which will keep reporting & storytelling at its heart. I currently work as a Principal Correspondent with the Indian Express in Mumbai. I write for the features section of the newspaper, besides contributing regularly to the Sunday magazine, Eye. My beats include: Visual Arts South Indian cinema, with a special focus on Malayalam cinema Heritage and built culture Food history and culture Book reviews (fiction) From time to time, I also commission stories for the Sunday magazine, Eye. I have considerable experience with editing and proofing, in the current as well as previous jobs. I\'m also experienced in organizing and co-ordinating magazine cover shoots.
