ABOUT POOJA SAWLANI
As a Graduate Research Assistant at Northeastern University, Bouvé College of Health Sciences, I am passionate about advancing the field of Biotechnology through innovative and interdisciplinary research. I am currently working on analyzing the secretion and function of alkaline phosphatase in HEK-BLU cells, and studying the effect of cytokines on their expression and activity. I am also involved in performing transfections on BOSCH 23 cell line and executing autoradiography on mouse brain sections to investigate the binding of alpha bungarotoxin to Alpha-7 Brain Receptors and their spread across the brain regions. I have a strong educational background in Biotechnology and Chemistry, with Master\'s in Biotechnology from Northeastern University Boston in United States of America and a Master\'s degree in Organic Medicinal Chemistry from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, India, and a certificate in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Techniques from National Cancer Institute-India, AIIMS in co-op with Edu-Fabrica.
