I’m a Production Support Engineer with more than 4 years of experience working in the healthcare and banking industries. My main responsibility is to make sure applications run smoothly in the production environment without downtime or major issues. I work closely with teams to quickly fix problems, improve system performance, and make sure everything stays up and running for users—whether they’re patients accessing medical records or customers doing online banking.I have hands-on experience working in UNIX and Linux environments, where I use command-line tools and shell scripts to troubleshoot servers, check logs, and automate routine tasks. I also work with Java-based applications running on platforms like Apache Tomcat and IBM WebSphere. I regularly support back-end systems, APIs, and microservices that are critical to business operations.As part of my role, I’ve created and maintained batch jobs using Control-M, AutoSys, and Cron. These jobs help automate business workflows and keep the systems running efficiently. For example, I’ve helped schedule daily and weekly processes, monitor job failures, and fix issues quickly when something goes wrong.I also handle L2 and L3 support tasks, which means I work on deeper technical problems and help resolve major incidents. I’ve been part of war-room calls during high-severity outages and have helped reduce the time it takes to recover systems. I do this by performing root cause analysis, documenting the issues, and working with development and infrastructure teams to prevent the same problems from happening again.Some of the tools I use regularly include Splunk, Dynatrace, Jenkins, ServiceNow, Postman, and Git. I’m also familiar with AWS and GCP cloud services, like EC2, S3, and RDS, and have experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments. I have worked with container tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and OpenShift as well.
