LEADERSHIP:Editor-in-Chief, The Lancet Regional Health – EuropeHired to launch The Lancet Regional Health – Europe, establishing and leading a high-performing team while driving strategic partnerships with key organizations. Responsible for publishing high-quality clinical, global and public health research that advances clinical practice and shapes health policies in Europe. Spearheaded the vision and strategic roadmap for the journal, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the region\'s health challenges.Co-chair, The Lancet Group for Racial Equity (GRacE)Leading efforts to promote racial equity within and outside The Lancet Group, driving initiatives to foster diversity and inclusion. PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS: Designed, developed, and launched the journal within the first 5 months and during the COVID-19 pandemic as final arbitrator of all decisions for the journal. Defined the journal´s scope, priorities, and outreach initiatives across all areas of clinical and global public health to promote the advancement of clinical practice and health policy in Europe to improve health outcomes for all people regionally and globally. Boosted the first Impact Factor to 20.9 through delivery of superior experience for authors and reviewers and ensured publication of the most influential clinical and global public health scientific papers that advance clinical practice and influence health policies in Europe. Created a 50:50 gender equity advisory board and appointed 32 thought leaders representing various European countries in broad expertise areas. Spearheaded equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives to support positive change in scientific and medical fields and facilitated the approach that the best ideas come from a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workspace
