About Poh Si Teng

Poh Si Teng is the Executive Editorial Producer for ABC News Studios. She works closely with independent filmmakers and production companies on unscripted series, docuseries and feature docs for Hulu. She is the producer of St. Louis Superman, which was nominated for an Academy Award, and won a Critics’ Choice Award, as well as the award-winning Oscar-qualified doc Blood On Our Side and BAFTA-qualified doc Dead Woman’s Pass. Poh was previously one of DOC NYC’s New Leaders and 40 Under 40 Filmmakers to Watch, and a Rockwood JustFilms Fellow. She was formerly the Director of IDA Funds and the Enterprise Program, where she created the Nonfiction Access Initiative (NAI) in collaboration with FWD-Doc and the generous support of the Ford Foundation. NAI supports nonfiction practitioners with disabilities at different scales and across media. In addition, she established the IDA + XRM Media Incubator Fund to support short vérité documentary films from around the globe, with an emphasis on emerging filmmakers and new perspectives. She also spearheaded authorship initiatives focused on making foundations, granting entities, festivals, production companies and filmmaking teams more equitable. Prior to IDA, she was the documentary commissioner looking after the Americas for Witness-Al Jazeera English, and a staff journalist for The New York Times, where she was nominated for a national Emmy for Outstanding Interview.
