About Pierre Noailles

I’m a middle school science teacher in NYC with a prior career in biomedical research (PhD; MPH) and formal training in science teaching (MAT, Relay Graduate School of Education, 2025, High Distinction). I design NGSS-aligned instruction that prioritizes student sensemaking, scientific argumentation, and careful use of evidence supported by UDL and the 5E model.EnCorps STEM Teachers Program Fellow; featured in an EnCorps profile on my approach to scientific literacy and community-relevant science learning.Student outcomes (NYSED): NYS Grade 8 Science Levels 3–4 (Proficient): 95% in 2023–24 and 95% in 2024–25 (linked in Featured). I’m also building and writing about systems that make rigorous instruction repeatable, especially the “implementation and coordination” problem—and I’m open to instructional leadership, publishing, and edtech/AI collaborations that improve teacher workflow and instructional quality.
