Peter Yellowlees MBBS, MD is CEO of Asynchealth and Distinguished Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at UC Davis. At Asynchealth he is focused on solving the biggest mental health problem of too many patients seeking care from too few clinicians. He is doing this by unlocking the asynchronous connection between patients and mental health professionals using AI driven asynchronous video consults which give patients better access to care, and psychiatrists the ability to treat more patients. Prior to 2022 he held the Allan Stoudemire Endowed Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California Davis, was Vice Chair for Faculty Development and in 2018 he was President of the American Telemedicine Association having been on the Board for a decade previously. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, The American College of Psychiatrists, the American Telemedicine Association, the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and the UK Royal College of Psychiatrists. He specializes in the use of telepsychiatry and had an in-person psychiatric practice where he mainly treated physicians. His research on asynchronous telepsychiatry was funded with 4 federal and state grants and he has published over 250 scientific articles and 7 books. He is an experienced media commentator and worked as a video editor for Medscape from 2009 to 2019 producing over 180 video editorials. He regularly teaches and consults in America and overseas and has written 8 books including,\"Telepsychiatry and Health Technologies - a guide for mental health professionals\" which was published in January 2018, and \"Physician Suicide: Cases and Commentaries\" was published in July 2018 while Physician Wellbeing: cases and solutions\" was published in 2020.
