Lead all day-to-day operations with a team of 25 members covering finance, accounting, payroll, and reporting activities in the pursuit of creating an industry-leading Finance Department.Responsible for presenting financial information for all mortgage banking related activities accurately, timely, and in accordance with GAAP and FASB to which the organization can rely on to make strategic business decisions.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for all divisions and branches within the organization. Direct corporate accounting activities ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, statutory guidelines, and internal financial policies and procedures. Management of annual finance and compliance audits, and the annual tax return in coordination external firm.Provide corporate financial analytics using historical data and the understanding of current industry activity to forecast financial performance, as well as to support change proposals.Develop a succession plan for all my teams and actively implement the plan by using training, coaching, and mentorship so that when a position opens, we are ultimately hiring at the entry level.Partner with other leaders in the organization to identify areas of inefficiency and/or risk, lead the discussion to identify how to improve, and implement the changes in a timely manner.
