My health communication research seeks to understand new and emerging technologies as they relate to health. I aim to develop, implement, and evaluate interventions designed to leverage positive impacts of media and technology on health while also buffering negative influences. My work takes an interdisciplinary approach to address emerging public health challenges, and I have worked globally with colleagues across multiple disciplines. I take a mixed-methods approach focusing on health and media literacy in the context of multiple media environments, ranging from online media to broadcast television.
