As a videojournalist, I serve as the eyes and ears for Hawaii News Now’s audience—working closely with reporters and producers to shoot and edit compelling visual stories on tight daily deadlines for both broadcast and digital platforms.I’ve covered major breaking news events across the state and beyond, including hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, and wildfires. My work has also taken me to cover historic events abroad and in Washington D.C, such as:• The Canonization of Saint Marianne Cope in Rome• The funeral of Senator Daniel Inouye at the U.S. Capitol• His Medal of Honor ceremony at the White HouseIn addition to my ENG work, I manage drone operations and serve as a certified remote pilot for aerial newsgathering. I’m also responsible for operating live transmission equipment, including microwave trucks, satellite uplinks, and cellular bonding technology like LiveU, enabling live reports from nearly any location with a signal.
