As Director, I work closely with my Dean to discover prospects and then cultivate and solicit them. I collaborate with the College of Arts and Sciences department heads, now the College of Engineering, The NMSU Foundation and the Alumni Association to raise the brand of the college as well as fund raise.Upon my hire at New Mexico State in August 2013 until the end of fiscal 2014, we increased our total gift support to the College of Arts and Sciences by 92%. Yes, from $617,881 to $2,009,650. I have no assistants or administrators to help in a 26 department college. I only have one student worker. I do have a very supportive Dean. Next, in year 2014-15, at this point and time, we are at $1,936,399 total gifts- an increase of 63%. This mark exceeds any other development year at the College since 2010.My Dean and I in that year alone closed on one planned gift of 1.2 million dollars in Journalism and 1.7 million dollars in Physics. In 2016-17-$3,665,668In 2017-18- to date March 1, 2018-$3,877,193-129% increase20••••22- I closed two- 1-million-dollar gifts; 1.2 million to the Art Department and 1 million from a NM corporate donor went to the College of Engineering)20••••23- I garnered pledges from 9 donors at present totaling 2.9 million for the new Thomas and Brown Engineering BuildingMy nine-year average at NMSU is 1.958 million perIn 2015 the University embarked on its largest Capital Campaign ever ($125 million) and by JAN 1, 2020, we had raised $128,077,379.
