About Paul Kennedy
Chemistry professional with 25+ years of experience broadly ranging in the fields of organic, medicinal and analytical chemistry. Particular expertise in the areas of mass spectrometry, analytical and preparative scale HPLC method development, large scale organic synthesis and chromatography, and small scale parallel medicinal chemistry for scaffold optimization. Efforts in these areas have resulted in several patents/publications as well as presentations at international conferences.Successfully led the development and implementation of ISO 17025 and ISO Guide 34 accreditation efforts for the production and testing of certified reference materials. This included ground up development of a Quality Management System and full laboratory implementation in <12 months. Currently, I am leading a Division that includes an analytical services team responsible for internal product development and a bioanalytical chemistry team that is responsible for the development of MS-based lipid analysis services including untargeted lipidomics services and targeted lipid analysis services.Specialties: successful implementation of new business opportunities, very strong analytical instrumentation background, project/product management and planning, analytical method development, strong mass spectrometry background, laboratory management.
