As a Quality Engineer at JRL Trent Precast, I play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality precast concrete components through rigorous testing, quality assurance, and documentation control across both structural and architectural departments.Key Responsibilities:Structural department:• Monitored the quality control of a wide range of structural precast elements, including columns, walls, balconies, and edge beams.• Contributed to high-profile projects such as Beorma, Trafalgar Way, Ferry Island, and One Eastside, ensuring all components met technical and regulatory requirements.• Performed comprehensive testing procedures, including concrete cube strength testing from the batching plant to evaluate structural integrity.• Led Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to proactively identify issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.Current Focus – Architectural Department:• Overseeing the quality control of inner walls, panels, soffits, and fascias with a focus on both visual and structural compliance.• Conducting both routine and project-specific testing:o Slump testo Bag and bucket testo Flexural strength testingo Washout testo Pull-out test for lifter strength validation• Ensuring all units adhere to design specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.Quality Documentation & Compliance:• Managing and maintaining quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and compliance checklists.• Supporting internal audits and facilitating traceability of materials and processes through proper documentation practices.• Collaborating with production and technical teams to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns and clear documentation of all findings and corrective measures.
