My work on the Community Engagement team at CapMetro mainly supports our public involvement efforts. In this respect, I develop, lead, and support outreach efforts through analyzing project details and crafting a strategy and structure in which to engage the public.Additionally, as the Staff Liaison for our Advisory Committees, I manage relationships with the members of, and develop improvements for, the Access, Customer Satisfaction, and Public Safety Advisory Committees. This and my other duties requires me to collaborate between staff, community stakeholders, and other interested parties, and I have happily facilitated and/or led public meetings, large internal staff meetings, and private meetings between staff and community stakeholders. Overall, the most fulfilling part of my work lies in being a resource for the community, and I take pride in assisting people from all backgrounds with transportation and transportation-related issues.
