   Senior Engineer in System Integration-Public Sector - Data Center.Indian Army Unified Network Management System (UNMS):Executing a state-of-the-art Unified Network Management System (UNMS) to Manage, Support and Operate the countrywide Armed Forces Network under the Network for Spectrum (NFS) for the Indian Army. The project envisages the setting up of Ten TIER- state-of-the-art Data Centres which are under implementation. The day-to-day operation for the complete NFS would be done via 8 NOCs and SOC.The facilities under this project will allow real-time monitoring of the complete IT network backbone of the Indian Army and provide complete visibility of deployed network assets, leading to optimal utilization of resources. Further cloud-based data centers and SOC being setup under the project, will boost the capabilities of the defense forces, leading to enhanced national operational preparedness.Roles & Responsibilities-Oversee servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and cooling systems. Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and hardware troubleshooting to ensure uptime and performance.Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds. Optimize resource allocation, load balancing, and power usage to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Implement security measures like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA) through audits and policy enforcement.Design and test disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime during failures. Manage backup systems and verify data integrity for quick restoration in emergencies.Analyze usage trends to forecast resource needs.
