Growing up in the slums of Mumbai, I saw firsthand how broken water systems don’t just harm the environment - they destroy health, dignity, and opportunity. I survived dengue, malaria, and typhoid. Many around me didn’t. That lived reality is what pushed me to build, not just study, solutions.I’m the Founder & CEO of Vasudeva Innovations, where we’re building what we believe can become India’s next VA Tech Wabag–scale water infrastructure company - focused on radically affordable, modular, and zero-operator wastewater and water treatment systems for emerging markets.Our mission is simple but ambitious: build the world’s most affordable water-tech infrastructure.What we’re working on:VarunaX™ - a plug-and-play Bio-Electro Cell–based wastewater treatment system delivering• 70–80% lower operating costs• ~40% lower CAPEX• Zero human operation (no blowers, no manual oversight)• Electricity generation during treatmentPortable arsenic removal systems achieving 99.99% removal, zero electricity usage, and ultra-low cost - designed for rural and underserved communities.We build from India, for India - and for the world, especially MSMEs and industrial clusters that are priced out of conventional infrastructure.Our work has been recognised through multiple global and national-level awards and non-dilutive grants, enabling us to sustain momentum and scale responsibly at this stage.
