Regularly transformed request and response payloads between upstream and downstream systems during day-to-day development, following design contracts.– Contributed to refactoring microservices into a new reactive architecture by migrating from RestTemplate to WebClient, and adopted a centralized configuration strategy to streamline environment management, improving non-blocking performance, scalability and maintainability across microservices.– Implemented fault tolerance using Resilience4j’s circuit breakers and retry mechanisms to ensure graceful handling of service failures and reduce downtime. In addition, developed a microservice using CompletableFuture and multithreading to orchestrate and manage 25+ parallel downstream API calls efficiently.– Actively handled on-call responsibilities, triaging production and non-production issues with multiple upstream and downstream systems. Highlights include solving a long-standing architectural flaw in a Kubernetes environment, where automatic pod restarts and health checks masked the root cause, and identifying the root cause of persistent disconnections between the consumer application and DeepIO, leading to improved system stability.– Automated API regression testing by integrating Newman into GitLab CI/CD pipelines, executing Postman collections with data-driven CSV files.
