About Piyush Gupta
As a Platform Engineering Practice Lead at HSBC, I have over five years of experience in developing and maintaining microservices using Python, Golang, and FastAPI. I am an expert in creating and managing an inhouse fastapi openapi generator framework that handles common functionalities such as authentication, authorization, exception handling, logging, and insights for various infrastructure APIs. I also have extensive knowledge and skills in using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes for orchestration, deployment, and testing of microservices. I have successfully created and implemented various infrastructure maintenance microservices using these tools, as well as integrated Hashicorp vault for secrets management. Additionally, I have created a logger python package for various types of events in microservices, and worked on an inhouse product called midwife that facilitates Kubernetes deployment for various microservices through different gitflows. My mission is to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions that enable and enhance the digital transformation of HSBC.
