ABOUT PIYUSH GUPTA

I am a law student at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), where I am pursuing my BA.LLB (HONS) degree with a keen interest in arbitration, mediation, intellectual property, environmental law, and cyber laws. I have also been selected for a summer programme at the University of Oxford, where I will deepen my knowledge and skills in these areas.In addition to my studies, I am working as an intern at two different organizations: The Leaflet, a digital media platform that covers news and analysis on contemporary issues, and the Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), a research centre that provides policy advice and capacity building on trade and investment law. In these roles, I have written various news pieces, conducted research, and contributed to projects on topics such as the 50th Chief Justice of India, the Election Commission of India, and the Singapore Convention on Mediation. I have also participated in several debating and moot court competitions, and won multiple honors and awards, such as the Octa finalist in NLIU Fresher\'s Pool, the Quarter finalist in the 4th National Law University Jodhpur Parliamentary Debate competition, and the Aditya Birla Scholar.Through these experiences, I have developed my writing, research, communication, and advocacy skills, as well as my critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork abilities. I am always up for opportunities to learn from others, collaborate on meaningful projects, and make a positive impact on society through law. I am interested in pursuing a career in legal research, academia, or policy making, where I can apply my knowledge and skills to address complex and emerging legal challenges and opportunities.
