ABOUT PIRAHNAVI BALASOTHY
I’m a second-year Cognitive Systems student at UBC in the Brain and Behaviour stream, with a strong interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning. My studies combine neuroscience, psychology, and computer science, which has sparked my curiosity about how technology can be used to better understand the brain and support clinical or research-related work.I’ve been developing skills in Python, Java, R, and HTML, and I enjoy using them to explore problems and build creative solutions. I’m especially drawn to AI and machine learning because they bring together theory and practical application, with the potential to make a real difference in fields like cognitive science and healthcare.Looking ahead, I’m excited to deepen my knowledge in AI, data science, and cognitive modelling, and to explore opportunities where I can connect my technical skills with clinical or research-focused projects.
