ABOUT PHILLIPPA BROWN

I am a seasoned pharmaceutical executive with over 25 years of experience in leading complex clinical development programs across various therapeutic areas, including Oncology, Haematology, Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism, Respiratory, Immunology, and Infection. My career has been marked by a commitment to transforming clinical trials to deliver the best patient experience and shorten clinical cycle times.Currently, I serve as the SVP and Head of Global Clinical Operations at GSK, where I oversee the delivery of all clinical trials across all phases of development. I lead a team of over full-time employees in 40 countries, driving innovation and operational efficiency through transformative programs such as Enrolment Acceleration, Next-Generation Data Management and Digital Health.Prior to joining GSK, I was the VP of Development Operations at AstraZeneca, responsible for the operational delivery of the end-to-end BioPharma clinical portfolio and partnering closely with Oncology and the Rare Disease R&D Units to provide the operational platform for them to deliver their clinical trials. I played a significant role in both the Vaccine and Monoclonal Antibody development programs during COVID. My previous experience includes leadership roles Amgen, where I managed extensive clinical trial portfolios and led significant transformation projects.I am passionate about embracing innovation to deliver next-generation clinical trials that are digitally enabled, carbon-efficient, and accessible to all patients.
