About Piper Weiland
I’m a third-year Communication Studies major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a minor in Child Development, passionate about strategic communications, marketing, and event-driven experiences that bring people together. Through my background in hospitality and retail, I’ve developed strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. I also serve as Senior Member Experience Director for Kappa Kappa Gamma, where I lead programming and large-scale events for 45+ graduating members, managing logistics, budgeting, and communications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful experiences. After studying abroad in Florence, Italy through CEA CAPA, where I explored global communications, sustainability, and cultural engagement. I’m excited to pursue opportunities that combine communications, marketing, and event planning, which allow me to bring both creativity and organization to projects that people genuinely connect with.
