Co-Founded by Pip and nurtured into a flagship brand for the UK arts and tourism sector, Arcadia pioneered the fully immersive experience. Breaking all the rules in when it emerged in 2008, there was simply nothing else like it and it rapidly grew into an iconic company that helped drive a wider cultural movement. Repurposing military and industrial hardware into 360 degree sculpted stages, Arcadia helped shape the next decade of festival and DJ culture by adding a full spectrum of architecture, engineering, performance and technology that turned passive dancefloors into uplifting and dynamic environments.In addition to creative direction, and alongside partner and Technical Director Bert Cole, Pip managed every aspect of the company, responsible for crews of up to 500 people on shows for nightly audiences of Alongside such vast performances, they developed a range of installations for audiences of all sizes including mobile, animatronic sculptures that double as stages. Specializing in creating standalone narrative shows before transforming into unique dance music arenas, Arcadia relentlessly pushed the envelope, even developing the world’s first recycled biofuel flame system.Their ‘Spider’ swiftly became a press favourite from Singapore to San Francisco, garnering hundreds of millions of page views and features in publications as diverse as Wired, The Guardian and the Daily Mail. A strong online community grew organically with hundreds of thousands of followers across multiple platforms. Expanding out of the UK, Arcadia toured worldwide, performing in city centres and festivals alike. Each event was individualized by a tailored marketing campaign and performance, attracting up to ticket buyers per night. The resulting multimillion pound turnover helped support a broad range of contemporary artists and impact local economies; often through community initiatives.
