ABOUT PIP LORIMER
I have just begun a new role as a Project Innovation & Sustainability Manager at Veolia. I will be working with teams to implement new, innovative projects that can lead to environmental benefits.Previously, I worked as a Sustainability Engineer & General Manager working for a small Environmental Consultancy, Tomson Consulting. I am a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner Project Manager and have led varying projects from minewater heat network feasibility to carbon management plans. I also deliver energy audits, carbon footprints for public buildings & businesses, and infographic reports, making complicated results digestible. I am confident with aligning sustainability standards to my work such as; SBTi, ESOS, SECR and PAS.At Tomson\'s sister company, District Eating, I worked developing low-carbon horticulture projects, helping to produce fresh food locally and encourage more people into growing.I graduated with a First Class honours degree in Design Engineering and am now an associate member of the IET, working to become a chartered engineer. My drive for sustainability initially began from working at the UK’s first plastic-packaging-free LUSH store.
