Developed colorectal cancer detection and prediction models based on gut microbiome big data. • Processed raw fecal shotgun DNA sequence data using bioBakery pipeline (kneaddata, MetaPhlAn, and HUMAnN). • Conducted functional profiling of metagenomic sequencing data using KEGG orthology gene groups (KO). • Implemented data normalization techniques and performed Principal Coordinate Analysis (PCoA) for visualization. • Developed machine learning models using DataRobot platform and various algorithms (e.g, eXtreme Gradient Boosted Trees, Random Forest, Elastic-Net). • Utilized DataRobot feature lists and Permutation-based Feature Impact for feature selection. • Applied FIRE (Feature Importance Rank Ensembling) and SIAMCAT for comprehensive feature selection.
